For the seventh consecutive year groups and individuals from throughout Cranford came together Monday to honor the memory of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a service project fair at the First Presbyterian Church. Cranford Radio was in attendance and spoke with Janice Grevious about the event.
Dozens of volunteers turned out to assemble personal care kits and other items for the homeless on Martin Luther King Day at the First Presbyterian Church. Two of the organizers of the event, Janice Grevious and Cindy Hannen, spoke with Cranford Radio about the event what else will be happening this week.
Janice Grievious will be honored with the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. Award at a community service on January 15 at St. Michael’s Church. Janice was the organizer of the first Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. She talks about this year’s Day of Service and about being recognized by the Cranford Clergy Council.
