Cranford Dramatic Club Kicks Off 100th Season with “A Few Good Men”

The Cranford Dramatic Club is certainly not resting on its laurels as it begins its record-breaking 100th season with “A Few Good Men.” Only last month the club was recognized with theĀ NJACT Community Theatre of the Year Award and efforts such as this show why the CDC was honored. Cranford Radio spoke with Matt Burns (Director/Lt. Col. Nathan Jessep), Mike Burdick (Lt. J.G. Daniel A. Kaffee), Joe Leo (Lt. J.G. Sam Weinberg) and Cheryl Sarkaria (Lt. Cmdr. Joanne Galloway) to get a preview.

Cranford Radio Headlines for Weekend of October 12

Some big changes have been proposed for the Cranford Public Schools and Downtown Cranford is being recognized by a statewide planning organization. Those two stories top the week’s news.

The football and field hockey teams will celebrate Senior Night this weekend during games and several squads will play in tournament action. The coolest temperatures of the season will be around Saturday but the skies should be sunny for outdoor events including Porchest and the downtown street fair.

Cranford Area Chamber of Commerce Member Profile: Carol Bryan Agency, Farmers Insurance

Carol Bryan didn’t plan for a career in the insurance industry, but a job interview shortly after high school put her changed her life and for the past four years she’s run the Carol Bryan Agency for Farmers Insurance in Kenilworth. In our continuing series profiling members of the Cranford Area Chamber of Commerce, we talk to Carol to learn a bit about her life and her business.

Interviews with Cranford Board of Education Candidates

This election day, in addition to the races for the US Senate, the House of Representatives and the township committee, Cranford voters will also be selecting four members to sit on the Board of Education. TV35 and Cranford Radio hosted interviews with three of those running, Terry Darling, William Hulse and Brian McCarthy.
