Chess: The Musical Coming to Cranford Dramatic Club

Season 101 kicks off at the Cranford Dramatic Club on Friday, September 27 with a 1980s musical that looks at the Cold War through the perspective of a chess match. Cranford Radio spoke with Edgar Hidalgo, the director; Jack Bender, the musical director, and Jenna Ravenda, who plays Florence Vassy, to learn more about the production.

Regional Plan Association Makes Presentation On Impact of Shutdown of Hudson River Rail Tunnels

Cranford QuickChek Opens Tuesday, September 10

Cranford’s newest business, a QuickChek convenience store and gas station, is set to open Tuesday, September 10 at 5 am. A ribbon-cutting took place Monday afternoon with a number of QuickChek and town officials in attendance, including Mayor Patrick Giblin, Senator Tom Kean Jr. and Assemblywoman Nancy Muñoz.

QuickChek president and CEO Dean Durling was on hand and he spoke with Cranford Radio about the new store, including how a portion of the sales will benefit the Cranford Soccer Club.
