It wasn’t a lot of snow, but a missed forecast combined with bad timing meant many Cranford residents spent hours trying to get home Thursday evening. On a much more positive note, Downtown Cranford was voted the top downtown in the state in a contest sponsored by NJ.com.

It was a big turnout for the first community meeting on the “Reimagining Cranford Public Schools” proposal Tuesday night and the town has a new interim township administrator. It’s playoff season for CHS sports teams and lots of autumn activities taking place in town this weekend but the weather may not cooperate for the first half of the weekend.
